Clicksor has launched an online advertising marketplace

Posted by Simon on April 28th, 2007 in Clicksor | No Comments

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usThe team behind Clicksor has launched a new online advertising marketplace. They call it AdPreference. AdPreference is still in Beta but you can sign up both as an advertiser and advertiser.

AdPreference is not similair to Clicksor. It’s basically works just the same as AdBrite’s Interstitial ad. The differences between the AdPreference interstitial ad and AdBrite’s interstitial ad are that you will be re-directed back to the publisher page after 10 seconds, you can also click a “skip me” button. AdPreference also shows just an ad and not your site like AdBrite does. This has both its downsides and upsides.

If you are already using Clicksor you might want to check AdPreference out. If not, just go with AdBrite.

Clicksor has prohibited the use of images directly beside text ads

Posted by Simon on January 1st, 2007 in Clicksor | 2 Comments

Clicksor has updated their publisher rules for the new year by adding a rule that bans the use of images “that suggest a direct relationship” between the images and the text ads.

Clicksor.com is announcing that all publishers are not allowed to line up images and ads in ways that suggest a direct relationship between the two. Clicksor.com is banning this activity to avoid any negative experiences for users and advertisers. Publishers who violate the above rule will be suspended. Earnings generated by publishers performing such activities will be withheld.

My ideas on how Clicksor could be improved

Posted by Simon on December 9th, 2006 in Clicksor, Opinion | 1 Comment
Clicksor is not the best publisher network around anymore (has it ever been?). But it does work and they do pay. Here are some of my ideas on how Clicksor could improve their service for us publishers.

Clicksor adds two new features next year

Posted by Simon on December 6th, 2006 in Clicksor, Make Money | No Comments

Clicksor will add two new features for their publishers next year:

ClicksorPlace
The Ad Marketplace for CPM/CPV ads. Publishers will be able to choose the CPM and CPV campaigns they wish to run on their sites. ClicksorPlace will enable publishers to have more control over the quality, quantity and style of ads they display to their visitors.

ClicksorControl
Publishers will be able to set there own minimum price for CPC ads. ClicksorControl does exactly what it says. It allows publishers to have more control over their earnings. You will be able to set your preferred rate and enter the codes/tags from any other CPC network as the default. This function will guarantee that publisher earnings will be just as good as or better than our competitors.

Clicksor disables Live Support for it’s publishers

Posted by Simon on August 27th, 2006 in Clicksor, Make Money | No Comments

Clicksor has disabled the “Live Support” feature for it’s publishers. “At this time, our network feels it is more profitable and beneficial for publishers if we allocate our resources to innovative ideas and upgrades”, Clicksor Support Team tells us.

Clicksor will still have trouble tickets, emails, and phone inquiry services available for it’s publishers. Clicksor promises that their “trouble ticket’Â’s response rate will be just as instantaneous as our old live support service”.

New Clicksor Ads

Posted by Josh on August 27th, 2006 in Clicksor, Make Money, Opinion, Uncategorized | No Comments

It appears that Clicksor is changing once again. This time, they are changing the format of their ads. Basically, if you can’t see from the screenshot (err, if you haven’t noticed that… well…), the text is bigger.

I don’t know how this will go down for Clicksor publishers. In a way it could increase clicks, as the title is better and more likely to be noticed.

Still, it is a step away from AdSense style ads and into their own, which could make them a even bigger AdSense compeditor!

Clicksor finally releases a new referral program!

Posted by Simon on August 27th, 2006 in Clicksor, Make Money | No Comments

It took a little longer than the team over at Clicksor.com first thought it would take. But now it’s here. Clicksor releases their new referral program.

We at Clicksor.com are proud to announce on May 1st, 2006 our new and highly profitable Referral Program for publishers. There are now two new amazing ways that publishers will be able to increase their earning through our referral program.

Publishers will be able to earn 10% if they refer either a publisher or advertiser to our Clicksor network.

For referral program details, please visit http://clicksor.com/publishers_faq.php#10 or contact us.

So now you will earn 10% of what your referrers earn. Before you would make $5 when your referrers had made $20. You can now refer both advertisers and publishers. They have also released several new banners for you to use.

So how good is clicksor?

Posted by Josh on August 27th, 2006 in Clicksor | No Comments

Well, with the launch of their new forum, YesUp (the owner of Clicksor) has taken into consideration every suggestion put forward to them on how they could improve Clicksor.

Well, with this, one new feature that I have noticed is that you can transfer money from your publisher account to your advertiser account. Well, so I set up a advertiser account, and add 2$ to it. Set up a campain. When the campain is approved, I am told that 2$ will probably be used in in 10 min, becuase Clicksor serve over 40000 publishers.

Well, with that 2$, I got 20 hits. Well, better than nothing. So, I have added another 4$, so I should recieve another 40 hits. Well, I have, my stats just haven’t updated.

Lots of publishers will say that not many ads are being displayed. Well, that is true, for their IP address. It is becuase it is the same IP address that they use for their login, not many ads are shown. Don’t believe me? Just use a proxy.

So they may not be as bad as they seem. I may only be down to 10$ in my Clicksor publisher account now, still, meh, I will get it back.
