Social Bookmarks Plugin for WordPress
A great way to get more visitors and feed readers to your blog is to let your visitors and readers bookmark your posts to one or several bookmarking sites. With this WordPress plugin you can let your readers do this. It adds 24 small icons at the bottom of every post that let’s your visitors bookmark your post. Some of the bookmarking sites are Del.icio.us, digg, Reddit, FURL, Newsvine, Technorati, Spurl and several others.
Version 3 introduces an Options page in the WordPress admin section. You can select which sites you display, whether the links will open in a new window or in the current page. Also, you can change the heading that appears above thelinks. If you have pages in your site then you can select a sub-set of them (or even all of them) where the links won’t appear. You can also specify to display the links in one or two lines. The plugin is using a stylesheet (social_bookmarks.css) which you can modify to integrate it further with your theme. Finally, a PNG template file is included that can be used to generate additional icons.
You can see an live example of this plugin right under this post. This is an easy way to gain more visitors to your blog so don’t hesitate for one moment. Go and download the plugin.

What I want to do on my blog, is every few hours take the oldest post and move it to the
front of the queue, all automatically. Anyone know if there is a plugin that can do this or
a simple way to set up another plugin to do this (use my own feed perhaps)?
Thanks.

[…] I am now using a another social bookmark plugin for WordPress called “Share This”. This new plugin works almost the same as the previus did, except that instad of small icons under every post it will only use a small icon and the text “share this” under all the blog posts. When you click on that link you will be taken to a page where you can add the post to all kinds of different social bookmarking sites. A new nice feature is that you can also email the post your friends. The plugin is made by Alex King. You can download the plugin from alexking.org/projects/wordpress […]

[…] AddThis.com offers another way for your readers to bookmark your posts to a social bookmarking site or subscribing to your feed. You can find a few other alternatives here, here, there is another one here, here and I think you can find a few more if you use our search. Don’t worry, I have tested them all and they work great. I’ve written a similar plugin which may be of interest. It’s a sidebar widget which puts the “bookmark” or the “subscribe” button in your sidebar. Find it at http://foolip.org/blog/2007/05/06/addthis-sidebar-widget/
